Taku Bannai

Taku Bannai is a Tokyo-born Japanese illustrator and a graduate of Tama Art University’s Department of Graphic Design. Working primarily with collage, he creates artwork for advertising, books, magazines and music-related projects. His minimalist compositions combine carefully layered coloured paper, lyrical observations of everyday life and generous open space, inviting viewers to imagine the stories beyond each scene. Translated into stationery, Bannai’s distinctive colour combinations and quiet atmosphere bring a thoughtful, artistic quality to everyday notes and correspondence.
